1. Explore the Biblical concept of what it means for humans to be created in the Imago Dei (Image of God),

2. Reason how our personal views of the Imago Dei centers on and impacts aspects of the differing systems of theology we all hold,

3. Explain the importance of not only our role as bearer’s of God’s Image, but practically applying this God given privilege to our real life experience and acting effectually in that role daily.

Discipleship, Hypocrisy, disciple, humility, me too, neglect, obedience, repent, repentance, return

In the beginning of part 2 of "Is The Prodigal Woke" Michael and Tyler lead off the discussion with the question "Is Christian freedom slipping away from American culture?" Joshua Sherman then takes the wheel and we examine true discipleship. We begin with what it means to bear "good fruit" in evangelism and whether one should focus on themselves primarily and their own progress or other's. Tyler then reads Psalm 51 and the guys wrap up this episode with humility.

Episode 38: Is The Prodigal Woke?

February 6th, 2021  |  55 mins 47 secs

Live, Luke, jesus christ, luke 15, obedience, open phones, overcoming sin and temptation, repentance, sanctification, sin, the prodigal, wake up, woke

In part 1 of this two part episode of The Complete Sinner’s Guide Noah Chelliah, Michael Keaton, Ty Brillhart, Joshua Sherman, “Jimmy” Davidson and your host Tyler Fowler begin by discussing the practicality of “the prodigal son” in Luke 15:11-32. Like the father in the parable of the prodigal, does God also welcome His children home with open arms after we sin? What about discipline? Does God discipline us to punish or correct us when we take something good God has created and misuse it and how does the Garden of Eden fit into all of this?

After, Ty lead’s our discussion into what it is to be “woke”. Today we are seeing more and more God fearing people moving into the woke movement and it is raising cause for concern. What does it mean to be “woke” and is there a problem with the movement? If so, what can we as born again believer’s in Jesus do about it?

We wrap up by taking a question from caller Michael about evangelism/discipleship and give you practical steps to start implementing tonight to become more like Jesus Christ!

Part 2 to be released soon, so stay tuned and God bless!!!
